You better have your A game and catch some breaks. Also some really cool holes with giant rocks. I plan on coming back on a buddy trip next year and am excited. I can see where it might be challenging at busy times, but was really neat to guess what's over the rise. I have never been a fan of the 'ring the bell' after you move on, on golf courses. Depth perception is difficult as well, so you'll have to trust your marked yardages. Lots of undulations in the fairways and greens, with a lot of uphill shots, makes this course (I think) pretty tough. Nobody on the course - sort of misty out - beautiful color of the trees offset by the deep greens of the course balanced against the sharp grays of the granite. Talked to the very friendly starter who gave me tips on the layout and sent me off. I came back later by myself - they gave me a cart and sent me off. They said if I came back later in the day, they would have one of their high school kids direct me back to the course. Didn't bring my clubs, but we stopped in to see if there was any chance of touring the course, since it wasn't very busy.
We were looking around the area for waterfalls and the golf course 'just happened' to be on the route. I was in Marquette with my wife for a color tour.
